Our Mission Statement

By God’s grace and mindful of our heritage we aim to extend the Community of Faith where God is glorified and the Good News of Jesus Christ is proclaimed and lived.

Service Times

Sunday Services
10:30 Sung Eucharist – with crèche and children’s church
18:00 Evening Services – 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month with Choral Evensong usually on the 1st Sunday.
All are welcome to attend both services.

Worship

St Mary’s is part of the Church of England.

Public worship is in a high-church liturgical form with a strong musical and choral tradition. The main service is Sunday’s Sung Eucharist, usually Common Worship based, with a range of settings, traditional and more modern. New English Hymnal is used, supplemented by hymns and songs from other sources. More >>

The church is also open for private prayer from 9am to midday every Wednesday and Friday.

Prayer Request

We hire our Church and Church Hall for a variety of events; both regular and “one-off”.   More >>

Upon entering the building through the south-west porch, the first object to strike the visitor is the Early English font.  More >>

Toddler Group

The Bathwick Baby and Toddler Group meet twice weekly at the Church Hall on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.30 am to 11.30 am (including school holidays, except August).  Parents / carers are responsible for their children at all times.  More >>

St Mary’s has a link with the parish of St James in Buchi which is in Kitwe in the Northern Diocese of Zambia.  More >>
